we made a quick detour on our trip and so often those unexpected plans are always the most fun! we LOVED the holiday decorated biltmore estate, especially the basement which housed the bowling alley, indoor pool, many kitchens, and servants quarters. other highlights for us included lunch in the old stable and exploring the barn stocked with amazing farm animals.
