the big ta-da (well almost)

we are SO close to cooking in our kitchen. only a few steps left and then we will be able to move our stove back in. i cannot wait! at least now we have a sink, dishwasher, and were able to put dishes and silverware out of boxes and into some drawers. completed photos soon! cakes, breads, cookies, and homemade breakfast hopefully even sooner!

1st place!

wyatt was SHOCKED (really, really shocked) to be called on stage to receive the 1st place funniest costume award at the rec centers halloween party. miss behaved (aka hadley) wins the award for biggest supporting cousin!

it's a halloween pa-a-a-rty!

no one knows how to throw a halloween party like laura and crew! complete with eyeball filled cupcakes, bones searching fun, and mummy making (going from kids to adults to trees). the kids had a fantastic time.

off to neverland

laurie's 2nd annual halloween party, though minus some integral guests, was quite a success! grace was overjoyed that gommy and cappy bobby joined in her wendy costume with peter pan and captain hook.

owen's science fair

owen's creation story and drawing was my favorite science fair exhibit at school this year! he is just too adorable!

there is nothing like having milkshakes and ice cream cones with cousins at the apothecary shop!

apple picking in the cold

our visit to the apple farm was much colder than we anticipated, but was still so much fun. the boys each picked a peck for their classes and got some to eat! juicy and delicious. the hot apple donuts were definitely the highlight!

a reel deal of a day!

todd had a great (and well deserved) day of fishing with chris and my dad (and a few more of the guys). only a little seasickness, no sunburn, and fresh fish fried up or dinner....success!

field trips are mindbending!

we all know how i LOVE to drive on field trips for the kids. today was wyatt's classes trip to the museum for the mindbending exhibit with math and logic problem solving fun. we could have spend days figuring on all the fantastic puzzles. imax movie complete with popcorn and then an ooey gooey lab. still the highlight for me is always listening to the kids talk in the car...nothing cuter! i am always amazed at how much girls giggle...too sweet!

fun fair happiness

truly, the only reason we go to the fun fair every year is to win the goldfish! there is nothing like spending tons of money on junk food and tons of tries to get a ball in a cup...grand prize one fantastic goldfish. this year, thankfully, each of the kids walked away with a smile and a fish. no one was happier though than marlo...eyeing the prize!

my "max"

i can barely watch the trailers for "where the wild things are" without tearing up. here is wyatt two years ago as a second grader as "max" in his school's playground production. he was so adorable!
